Ronnie Biggs died recently. He took part in Great Train Robbery (Crime of the Century) in Glasgow to London Royal  Mail  on 08 Aug 1963 in which his gang had escaped with 2.6 million pounds.  He is also known as Tea boy or The Brain. His autobiography The Odd Man Out was published in 1964. A Robbers Tale & A Coppers Tale are the movies produced by BBC, due for release shortly.

ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) has introduced first indigenous Thalassaemia Testing Kit produced by NIIH (National Institute of Immuno Haemotology) Mumbai. It will test  06 mutations for  Thalassaemia  & 02 mutations for   Sickle Cell Anaemia. Thalassaemia ia a disorder which affects production of RBC (Red Blood Cells).
